G29 electric regenerative braking question
I pulled my transaxle out of my G29 at one point, and in my haste I forgot to unplug the 3 wire connector to the motor for the regenerative braking and run-away control ( the same plug some tell you can 'gain a little speed by disconnecting' ). The plug pulled itself apart as I lowered the transaxle during removal. Once I had everything back together, I plugged it all back in. I'm just now curious if I damaged the wires either on the harness or inside the motor housing. Is there an easy test to determine whether regenerative braking and/or run away control is working? I did search around a little and couldn't find this information. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: G29 electric regenerative braking question
Easiest way to tell if the tach sensor is working is this.. After driving the cart, try to push it around (parking brake not locked) , if it beeps at you and tries to stop itself from rolling, its working perfect.

Re: G29 electric regenerative braking question

Re: G29 electric regenerative braking question
Ok I got a question about the Regenerative braking. I unplugged it today and definitely noticed the acceleration increase. It actually freaked my wife a little when she drove the cart when she got home and she wanted to know what I did to it. I also saw that id did gain about 2 mph difference. It went from max 12-13 to 14-15. I did notice though a skip in as we were driving that it did not do before . Any idea why its doing that now? I plan to plug it back in tomorrow to see if the skip goes back away. Thanks for the help!!!!

Re: G29 electric regenerative braking question
Stock controller Sepex yamahas drive "funky" without the tach sensor, the only fix is "plug it back in".
