Default Controllers

02 standard cart all original internals.05 trogans all great shape.

When you hit the hills it crawls when you hit the flats it does okay.Nothing fast nor quick.Seems slow compared to all the rest.If i line up against its twin (same exact cart just built after the other one )Its alot slower.Do controllers and motors get weak or do they just work or not work???I am going to change out cables and go to the thicker ones.

Thanks
Jamie

Check the voltage at the motor on each one. If the one that is slow is going into the motor the same as the other, I think we can deduce that it's the motor. If it's not the same going into the motor, check it before it goes into the controller. Check the voltage of the entire battery group too.

Since I don't know that much about the sparkies, I won't say anymore. I'd hate to get someone electrocuted.

I know a motor can get weak, not sure how to check for that though. I agree with what NO NO NO posted, that would be a good way to check. Getting electrocuted by a cart doesn't hurt you, but it probably means you arced something which will leave the electronics in your cart in bad shape.
