Default Motor for 600 amp Controller?

I am looking for a good motor to install on my 2001 Club Car DS 48v. I bought a Alltrax 600 amp Controller and want a good torque motor to install with it. i will be using this cart for hunting and heavy hauling situations. Is there any possible way to get some added speed with this system?

D&D makes a hi torque motor that will work well with that control, HD solenoid, HD F&R. and upgraded cables but you won't find anything short of a 2 spd rear end and all the upgrades above to produce massive torque and run 25mph

i have heard a lot of negatives about D&D motors. any other motor suggestions?

i am planning to install a heavy duty F&R switch, heavy duty solenoid, 2 gauge cable throughout.

are you saying i can install high speed gears to get added speed? or are you saying i wouldnt be possible?

your not going to get the torque your looking for out of a bandit . im running a rattlesnake II from PQ with a 700amp mid 30,s and decent torque but its not a hunting cart. it would worth your time and call PQ and tall them what your looking for

So Swan how does that RS II run. Plenty of torque and fast also? Stock gears? I am thinking of getting a 700 amp controller to use with my PQ Bandit. The next step may be the RS II.

OP - I would not change gears if you are hauling stuff. I would look at the niche motors that have decent torque and RPMs in the 5000s. With 600-700 amp controllers you should have a happy medium.

The PQ Bandit gave me 20-22 mph with stock controller. Hopefully more torque when I add a 500-700 controller. I will let you know sometime soon.

no complaints with the RS II with a 700amp controller it make up the torque loss ( vs. having a 400amp) and still hold nice speed. with 22"/23" wheels its changes to basically a 8:1 gear ratio .
