Default 6volt batteries in a precedent fit perfectly

I just installed 6volt batteries in my Precedent they fit perfectly almost like it was meant to be. 6 under the seat and 2 in the bag well. Also changed the cables to 4gauge and added HD rear springs. Should be much better then that awful 12volt setup.

Caspero,

Your cart will probably go 50 miles now! Are you going to cover up the bagwell batts? Hows it drive? Nice job..

What year is your cart?

How much life do you think you'll get over 6 8v batteries? Run time on a charge and years of service?

I'm going to make a basic light weight cover for the batts in the bag well to at least protect them. It seems to be much faster now and real quick off a stop maybe my 12volt batts were just worse off then I thought. My cart is a 2008.5 precedent. Not sure how much extra time I will get on the batteries compared to the 8 & 12 volt setup I mainly used 6volt because I could get them a lot cheaper. I couldn't believe how good the 2 fit in the bag well.

The reason I was asking is I have the same year mode and it was in the latter part of the year. I may do the same.

Yeah they fit nice I just had to get the new T style hold downs that you would use with the 8volt batts I found them on ebay for $6 each and I used the old ones to hold the 2 batts in the bag well. It feels like the cart has more torque now but maybe it's just me.

How did the change affect the battery charger?

Charger seems ok it brought the batteries up to 57volts I think it was then shut off. Strange thing I noticed now is at 1st the car seemed faster with these batts but now seems real slow
