wet down your floor!!
I am by far a painter, but I have painted quite a few things over the years. I have not read anywhere about wetting down your floor. I just use a pump up bug sprayer or you can use a hose, just make sure you don't get any water on your work piece. I made a make shift booth with tarps to paint my cart this winter (since spring took forever to get here), put a fan under the door and blanked of the rest of the door with a piece of plywood to get some pull through air. Then wet down your floor to help keep dust out of your paint job, it really does make a difference. Even if you are painting outside, wet down your concrete, or if you have to paint over gravel I would say it would really help then. Just be careful with your air hose if you are using a gun, not to get it wet if you are reaching over painted parts.
Just thought I would add this info for guys painting, I know I have learned alot reading around here. Mac |
