Default loss of power

i own a 1996 ezgo textron electric cart. bought used four years ago. no problems until about 10 months ago. replaced control box and silinoid and worked great until two weeks ago. realized drivers side lower stud (on motor) has slop coming out of motor. shimed w/ washer and redid wire connection due to wear. that same stud gets incerdibly hot while under load while rear wheel is raised. cart will only shutter while on ground. battery volts between 5.8 and 6.1. one battery actually says 4.9??? read 36 volts out of silinoid i believe.

my thooughts. bad wire, bad motor, batteries?????

thoughts. thanks in advance

Sounds like bad batteries from the get go! Charge the cart fully, let rest for a few hours, then state of charge for each battery.

five of the batteries read 6.3. one battery reads 4.8. is that enough to be the culprit?

Yes. One bad battery can bring on the shuttering.

Also goo oozing out one stud is a bad sign for the motor as well... You are melting insulation, a short will result.
