LED turn signal flasher unit
Hello All,
I am installing new lights on my 2001 DS 48v. I have a 7 wire std. turn signal kit. All is wired right and everything is working ok except the lights are not flashing. I have a standard 3 prong flasher unit. I investigated my lights and thelights are LED at least the front signal lights are and I am assuming the rear are also. So i understand I need another type flasher that will work with led's. Anyone know exactly what I need and where to get one and proper wiring? Thanks, Kim |

Re: LED turn signal flasher unit
you either need a flasher that isn't load dependent, or you can add a load to your current flasher.
try a standard car turn bulb in parallel with your flashers. its ghetto, but it works. another thing you try is to open the unit and adjust the load threshold. look for a trimmer pot inside. good luck! -sj |

SJ,
Thanks, I wired a old side light from an old Goldwing I used to have (small peanut bulb) and all works perfect! Thanks, Kim |
