Re: Club Car 48 Volt /4 12 Volt Battery
You can use the same charger but I think it might not be a good idea.Clubcar has went back to 6 batteries because the 4-12s dont hold enough juice. The frames will also have to be changed as these 12v batteries are much heavier.

Re: Club Car 48 Volt /4 12 Volt Battery
I also considered the same modification yesteday when I was buying 6 new batteries, but the Trojan dealer I went to said the (4) 12-volt batteries cost about the same as the (6) 8-volt batteries. Plus I would need to modify the battery rack (which I had to repair anyway!)

Re: Club Car 48 Volt /4 12 Volt Battery
Get a 12 volt handicap battery ( UB12350 Last Price Check $52.00? ) and solve all you problems now and in the future. Its a "small sealed battery" that can be mounted in any position and is a deep cycle batterys. I charge through a power outlet on my dash with a cheap 12 volt charger.

Re: Club Car 48 Volt /4 12 Volt Battery
Hi, I was thinking about doing just the opposite. I want to change out my four 12 volts for six 8 volts. Does anyone know if there is conversion kit or different battery pack for this?

I am gonna go that route (6 - 8 volt batteries) when it is time to replace the batteries in the Precedent. Have fun! Dave |
