![]() I am trying to remove the clutch on a G16 cart and have a simple question.
Do I turn the retaining bolt right or left? I was assuming that the threads are left handed and was turning the bolt to the right without much luck. I was able to get it to turn, but it seemed to only be turning the crank without actually loosening the bolt. Awesome forum and thanks in advance for the help:) |

![]() ok, easy enough:)
When I turn the bolt the correct direction, I have to use a lot of force to get it to spin. It will turn the entire shaft, but not loosen the bolt itself. I am holding the entire clutch, but do I need to also put a pipe wrench on the shaft to stop it from turning? |

![]() Wow are you spinning the shaft in the clutch?
Just remembered old trick pull spark plug and spin the piston down and feed some nylon rope in the cylinder and spin it up to squeeze it, it will stop the engine from turning. You may have to rap the end of the bolt as well. |

![]() I have at least 1 broken roller that seems to be allowing one of the weights to go out past the spider assembly and hit the cover. I may have more going on, but that seems to be the only thing that I can find faulty.
Does the spider assembly include the area where the weights are or just where the rollers are? |

![]() Yamaha has a "spider/rollor kit", you'll need to reuse the pins and the plastic sliders that attatch to the ends of the pins. You can also check site sponsors for just the rollors, but make shure there metal, not the plastic type. That will cure your problem. Good luck Dave
