Default Adding 2nd set of 7 module

Im toying around the idea of getting another 7 modules to make up 14. Only issue is on my cart they would have to be 2-7packs. Has anyone done this or is everyone using inline 14pack.

What bms are you using? Two 7 modules would be easy to connect with 2guage wire and convert to 14. It depends on how you connect them. You also have to think of charging and space.

It can be done. Just use really big cable to connect the two packs.

The only concern Ian at zeva had was potential voltage drop on the tap wires for the BMS. To mitigate the effects of voltage drop make sure the tap wires are all the same length. This ensures the cells will be truly balanced.

It will work but try your best to get the new cells really close to the same voltage as your old ones maybe set them up on the bench and wire up the bms/charger and get them balanced before mating them. This will save your BMS alot of time and heat exposure.

You need to split the pack as 8 + 6 modules.

I ask a question along the same lines awhile back. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lithi...ld-happen.html

I'll be following this as I also want to "add" an additional 7 modules to my cart.
