Electric club car carryall 2 doesn't stay charged when parked
I have an electric club car carryall 2 with 48 volt system (6x8 ). It stopped Saturday morning and electric bed wouldn't lift nor would cart move at all. Lights would turn on though.
Cart had a full charge. Monday morning batteries were totally discharged. Cart had not been connected to charger for two days and had not moved (tow switch had actually been on, as well). Any thoughts on what to check? |

I'd charge again then turn on tow switch and remove the main pack cable and see if it goes down again. (to find out if there's a short or something staying on or the batteries).

How old are the batteries?
Sounds like you have one or two bad batteries that are being used to provide power for the bed lift. Having anything electrical connected to only a few batteries in the pack will bring the pack out of balance and cause some batteries to overcharge, while others are undercharged. Recharge the pack and check each battery individually with a voltmeter. |
