Spongy Brakes
This has been an ongoing problem. Brake pedal slowly sinks to the floor when depressed and, occasionally, just goes to the floor when in use. It always pumps back up and is firm for at least a time.
Last year I had the brakes serviced and the shoes replaced. The fluid had a LOT of air which we blead out. The fluid was nice and clean, just highly aerated. The system has no leaks nor any evidence of ever having had leakage. I guess the next service will aslo incllude have both wheel cylinders and the master cyinder rebuit but before that happens I'm wondering if there is any history of this issue on other cars. Curious as to where the air is coming from. |
