In 1997 you had 3 options. A series 36 Volt, A series 48 volt, and a Regen 1 48 Volt. All of which were slow. 12-14 MPH on the 48 volt cars and probably 10-12 on a good day with the 36 volt.

Well i believe it goes about 10mph there is still a pedal response problem i have to pump the pedal 2 times and it seems to go a bit faster . It also seems very weak in reverse compared to forward

Is it a 36 volt cart or a 48 volt cart? Do you have a lever operated Forward/Reverse switch or is it a rocker/toggle switch?

Not in 1997. Unless it's been converted.
