2009 EZGO RXV 48V to 12V reducer question
I have a 48V 2009 EZGO RXV golf cart. It is powered by the standard four 12V batteries wired in series. I'd like to add an accessory; a dual port USB charger to power/charge cell phone(s) while riding. Obviously the USB charger runs off 12V DC, so I would need a 48V to 12V DC reducer. (I don't want to run off out 1 battery only.)
But my (stupid question of the day) is: doesn't the golf cart already have one of these reducers already installed that I could tap into? I can't imagine that the lights, turn signals, voltage meter, etc. run off 48V power. Thanks, Bill |

Re: 2009 EZGO RXV 48V to 12V reducer question
Look on left side of batteries for small finned box, it will have 2 wire terminals above it. Or this is how the factory carts that had a DC converter were setup (not all factory lights had converter).
