![]() Thought I would share my rebuild of a 1981 EZGO 2pg. I bought this cart and quickly found out it had no compression. Upon dis-assembly of the engine I found the rings were "frozen" to the piston and it looked like the last owner ran it without oil in the gas. Well I bought a top end kit from Everything Carts and put it all back together. This forum helped a bunch for technical details and specs.
Thanks all. Here's some pics.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I took it for it's maiden run today, and while it's no speed demon, it ran like a champ! NEXT ....BODYWORK!!! |

![]() thanks for sharing, it's good to see guys with the 2 stroke carts posting about them. There's a bunch of them around but they don't seem to get the attention they deserve.

Everythingcarts.com, one of this sites sponsors. It's really not that bad of a project. Only thing I would do different it seal the new cylinder to the crankcase with some Black RTV. Also make sure you place your rings in the correct orientation (bevel up) and the head gasket with the widest metal edge turned down. Thanks all for the comments! |
