1994 Club Car Ds Shuttering when put in forward and reverse
94 Club car
(A9429-389907) Just picked up a 94 Club car Ds that was not working. Went over it and charged the batteries up. Everything looks to be okay to the eye.. Although when I went to move the cart it shutters really bad, almost like it’s not going in gear or the back tires are spinning. Where should I start first? This is typically a sign of low battery voltage. Measure the voltage of your battery pack by taking a reading across all of the batteries with a multimeter. Main positive to Main negative. These would be the first positive in the series and the last negative.

Something is not right with your meter, or your batteries. Test them individually and see what you get. Post results.

Reading with key off I got 34 steady this time. But all the batteries were a 4-5 volts each so I’m not sure what the deal is.

Batteries are extremely weak. They're six volt batteries and in fully charged state should show just over 6 volts each.
