Re: need motor for a bad boy buggy
FYI..
You might get a better response from a posting in the classified section... Lots of folks there with things to sell/trade... Good Luck |

I have an AMD DA8-4013 from July 2013. Gently used and works great. $500 plus shipping from Kansas City, MO. 816-304-5273

Re: need motor for a bad boy buggy
Unless Bad Boy changed things (and they do far too often) the motors are standard TXT PDS motors or something similar.

Re: need motor for a bad boy buggy
Nickdalzell1, the original poster and I both have 2010 BBB with the same AMD DA8-4013 motors. I have a tech manual for the buggy that also mentions this motor. So that tells me they did, at least in some, install this motor.
I have no idea what was done with other models or years of BBBs. I don't know what a TXT PDS motor is. In any case, I'm hoping to sell this motor to someone who can use it. I am planning a conversion so I don't need this motor anymore. |

Re: need motor for a bad boy buggy
Bad Boy buggies are aptly named. They are overweight, underpowered and rated quite poorly in hunting forums. They change things every year sometimes twice per year and are extremely unfriendly to golf car mechanics who aren't in their dealer network.
The ones I see have two blue Sevcon controllers and two axles front and rear each with an independent shunt wound motor. The motor on the 48v versions is identical to TXT 48 shunt wound motors except it has no speed sensor. |
