Anybody use folding trailers?
I'm thinking about getting a folding trailer to be able to haul my ezgo around. I'd really like a 5x10 but am not finding any. Anybody use these types of trailers?
here is a link to something similar http://www.harborfreight.com/1720-lb...ler-62647.html Last edited by sltintexas; 05-01-2017 at 10:58 PM.. Reason: added |

I have as well. Something like this for short to medium pulls. I like the knife edge tail and the hydraulic cushion assist. Now if I could just fine one that's a little more affordable.

Re: Anybody use folding trailers?
Hey sltntexas. Yes I have owned/used them. I do not like them. The concept is good but from a practical standpoint they tend to be problematic and dangerous in my opinion.
Cart stalls/cuts off for whatever reason, brakes don't hold etc. trailer slams back down. Depending on how it is built wiring is yanked around. Just from experience and just my opinion. I like the ones with a drop down tailgate for a ramp made from expanded metal for air flow. Just my opinion from experience. BTW we are talking about the same thing right? A tilt trailer as in the link above? Ok. At second glance I see the hydraulic cylinder. Don't know about those. Never had anything but basic tilt. |

Re: Anybody use folding trailers?
Sorry I have added a link. This is a type of trailer you can fold in half when you are using it so you can store it easily.

Re: Anybody use folding trailers?
I keep my cart on a trailer during hunting season and haul it around daily. Get a legit trailer bro. Carts are pretty heavy, and can take a toll on the loading ramp.....

Re: Anybody use folding trailers?
5x10. Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, whatever y'all have in Texas go ahead and spend a little more. That thing at Harbor Freight is junk for what you want to do (I like Harbor Freight) it will require a lot of work to get it close to hauling a golf cart.
What you need is not that one. Just trying to help and only my opinion. |
