Alltrax XCT PDS Install question

I'm installing the new Alltrax XCT on my 2008 EZGO Txt PDS. I found a wiring difference that has me stumped. On the old controller the A2 wire goes to the solenoid, but in the new diagram it shows it going directly to the B- on the Alltrax controller. Is that right?

Alltrax's install diagram is correct.

The confusion lies in the fact that there is more than one way to wire to a DC series drive cart. Trust me there is there no way Alltrax has been selling this control to thousands of customers with the wrong install diagram.
The Alltrax diagram works and the OEM diagram works.
Follow the Alltrax diagram completely for the high amperage cable routes. Do not mix part of one diagram's high amp layout with the other... that is were you can run into trouble.

Hopefully the red highlighted item are typos.
There is no A- anything. There is an A2.
B- is not connected to motor on either schematic posted.

On both schematics, there is a short high current cable between the solenoid's controller side large terminal and the controller's B+ terminal.

On the stock PDS controller drawing, the high current cable from the motor's A2 stud is connected to the solenoid's controller side large terminal.

On the Alltrax XCT schematic, the high current cable from the motor's A2 stud is connected to the controller's B+ terminal.

The cart will run with the A2 cable connected to either place, but the way shown on the Alltrax schematic (Landed on the controller's B+ terminal) is more efficient electrically.

Technically, when the controller's PWM output is less than 100% duty cycle, armature amps exceeds battery amps, so by landing the A2 cable, which carries armature amps, on the controller's B+ terminal, it does have to flow through the short high current cable from the solenoid and the total length of the armature current path is reduced by a foot or so.

Sorry, I meant A2, fixed it. And I meant B+, not B-, sorry. I got cross eyed looking at the schematics :)

So the one labeled "C" in this picture goes to the A2 spot on the motor?

Do the wire ends go on top of the controller connectors or do they slip under / between the metal square and the nut underneath ?

On top the metal squares is how I did them, but it probably wouldn't make any difference either way.

The metal square is the actual terminal, so trapping the cable end between the nut and the terminal or trapping the cable end between the bolt head and the terminal is the same electrically.

It seems like putting the ends between the terminal and the nut "sandwiching it in" will help keep any possibility of the cables shifting where two ends might loosen and accidentally make contact with each other if they shifted.

Suggest contacting Alltrax and asking what their recommendation is.
