? for scottyb about correct reversing contactor
I have a 99 ezgo txt series cart 36 volt and i'm wanting to up grade it. The cart will be used as a hunting buggy and was planning on installing your 485 speed controller package.
First things first though I need a new f&r switch. I want to ditch the switch and use a contractor but was unsure of which one to buy, the sw182 or the sw202. I wont be pulling a trailer but my deer lease has some small hills and is sandy soil. I just want to know if the sw182 will cut it. I already have a set of 2 gauge wires. |

Re: ? for scottyb about correct reversing contactor
I suggest you use the SW202 - bigger tires, soft footing and hills equal extra amp draw.
Besides the SW202 has larger silver contacts compared to the smaller copper contacts in the SW182. The SW202 suits an aftermarket hi-torque motor too. |

YAH!!!....Put dah BIG UNIT in. Never look BACH. !!
(Note: Pic was taken right after install. Wires were subsequently moved and properly zip tied so it looked like a professional install....not the spaghetti it looks like in the photo.) (Note....Large heavy current wires were replaced after photo was taken with ScottyB's 2ga. crimped and soldered wires. The one's in photo are junk stuff.) |
