Solenoid wont engage
I have a 36v pds cart that I cant get the solenoid to activate. I went threw the entire solenoid activation circuit and im getting power at all the points on the controller that are needed for the solenoid energize. The only place im not getting power is across the two small wires on the solenoid. I can remove the blue wire and run a jumper from b- to the solenoid and it will click. All this to me points to a bad controller but I wanted to see if there is anything else I should look at before purchasing a controller?

Re: Solenoid wont engage
Yes part of the control has failed, however. You can make your jump wire permanent and run the cart for awhile longer until the next part fails if you wish.
Or you can use this a sign that it's time for an upgrade |

Well even with the jumper wire in place the cart will not move.

Re: Solenoid wont engage
Once solenoid clicks you can check controller input and output. Have you verified throttle signal?
Is controller melted near terminals or smell burnt? |

Re: Solenoid wont engage
No melted or burnt terminals on the controller. Its does have a little bit of a burnt smell to it tho. Whats the proper way to go about checking for throttle input?
