Default RXV Seat Back

I just bought a used RXV from a fleet sale. The seat back was loose on one side, but I figured the bolts had just loosened up or fallen out. Turns out, the bolt holes don't seem to line up with the rear struts. Seat appears to be original to the cart. Any ideas?

Sometimes it helps to have someone push on the side that is attached, toward the side that is not attached, while trying to start the bolts. Its common for rxv seatback bolts to be stubborn. Take your time, you really dont want to deal with crossthreaded inserts in the wood of the seatback.

Ditto that...

Also you might un-bolt struts from roof so they will flex some.

DO NOT TRY AND FORCE BOLTS.

if you cross thread them you may end up replacing seat back.
(I have removed seat back with saws-all... messy but satisfying )

Hard to get pics to show it, but if it's bolted up on one side, the holes on the other side are too wide. Looks too far to force it over. I'm thinking it's a TXT seat back. :\

Upper struts are straight. I actually discovered the misalignment today, while replacing new lower struts to install a rear flipflop seat kit.

Easy to tell, rxv bolt holes are vertical (one directly above the other), txt is staggered (not directly above the other, but offset about 1" or so). Also txt uses 1/4"-20, rxv uses M8 larger bolts.

Got it on. I had the roof struts on the outside of the lower struts. That's not where they go. LOL Sorry for being a dumba$$, and thanks for the replies. :)

That is kinda funny. Roof was hard to install as well? Live & learn...

The roof wasn't hard to install incorrectly. I usually leave all hardware loose until it's all together, so I didn't notice it was in a bit of a bind.
