Back up buzzer?
Restoring an 87 club car, and I am new to carts as a whole.
My backup buzzer is shot. Can I just bypass it? I don't really want to spend the $20 replacement costs. Wiring diagram shows a wire coming from the charging fuse and also from the main solenoid. Do I tap these two wires together or just eliminate them completely? Thanks IMG_0278.jpg |

Re: Back up buzzer?
Do not hook together, just insulate each one and forget it? One comment about doing this is ( do you have good insurance for riders or people around cart ) The buzzer is to warn you, as well as others around you that you are going to move in reverse. In my area where law suits are common I would never do this as you are wide open to court case by removing a required safety devise. $20.00 is lots cheaper than law suit and lawyers?

Keep the buzzer hooked up! If there are kids in the area it will be a warning and safety device!

Re: Back up buzzer?
Thanks for the input, guys. Now that I have the cart up and running I can feel better about investing in the little things to bring it "back up to code".
