First thing to do is run a 12v jumper to the light and see if it turns on. If it does, it's unlikely the light.
Next is to see if you're getting voltage to,lit switch. Then see if it is brake switch related if you have one. |

MrGolf - any resolution on your friend's dim tail light issue? I have a 2006 Precedent that the rear taillights stay on dim all the time.
