The first pic is an older style head and will support shaft-type rockers.
The second pic is a newer style head and will support the 3rd generation stud-mount rockers.   |

The rockers can only be used on heads that can accept shaft-type rockers. If the heads are cast for pivot-type rockers, they can't be used without modifying the heads.
