Need Tire recommendations
I need some Tire recommendations for my '97 Carryall II. I have 10" wheels and turf tires and I find that I am not getting enough traction to climb small hills or even on wet grass. I am planning to install a Jakes lift kit, either 3" or 6", and I'm not interested in doing serious off-roading but it seems clear to me that I do need a more aggressive tread.
There seems to be dozens of tread alternatives. What level of tread aggressiveness would you folks recommend? |

I like my Mojaves for all around use. Not the best in the deep stuff. But they do good otherwise.cart stuck 005.jpg

Re: Need Tire recommendations
Thanks Elitemonster8. That tread looks like it should do the trick. Are you running these on your Club Car with a 6" lift?
The folks at Jake's are telling me that with their 6" lift kit I'd be good up to 22x11x10. I'm not sure I fully understand the tire size designations but isn't 25x10-10 larger than 22x11x10? |

Re: Need Tire recommendations
I run those, but on a 7.5" lift, they're too big for the 6". I used to run at489's 24"x11-12 and those just cleared with 2+5 offset wheels. But they offer them in 23" also.
I sell the 24" ones to members for $300 shipped |

Re: Need Tire recommendations
Oops, forgot you wanted to use your 10" rims. They offer them in 22 & 23"x10-10.

Re: Need Tire recommendations
I didn't find a 22x10-10 but I did find this tire in the 23x10-10 http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...9-A-T-ATV-Tire but I’m wondering if this may be too aggressive. As a reminder, I’m using my cart on grass and pavement primarily and woods trails occasionally.
I'll have to get back to Jeg's on the 23" since they recommend a 22" maximum. Perhaps they are building in a big safety factor. Thanks again for your counsel guys. Bill |

Re: Need Tire recommendations
I got the kenda bear claws from rockymountainatv.com 23.10.10 tire. mainly because of the 6 ply rating. id have to pop one on the trail. rocky mtn atv is just down the road from me.
i think my next atv tire will be the trilobite that elitemonster recommended. |
