Default 1987 gas club car

hey im not getting gas i got this cart out of the trash and i got it working but i have to put gas in the tube i have vacume but i dont think the fuel pump is working i cleaned it i think i have to buy a new one anything i can do thanks

It sounds like you have diagnosed your problem and answered your own question. Fuel pumps can be a pain I would buy a new hi-flow pump to replace it with.

golf caryts plus say tghey have a hi performance pump, and i know mike has a rebulid kit for yours.

fuel pump is hooked up right but it does not seem to have enough power to pull gas up the line in the tank. gas comes half way up the line thats it you think the elbow has a air leak or the straw maybe

pull the fuel line off of the tank and stick it in a bottle of gas, pull the fuel line from the carb and stick it in another bottle, hit the pedal, if it pumps you have a blocked pick up tube or a air leak in it.

thanks guys turns out the vacume part of the fuel pump was not working got a new fuel pump cart runs like a charm
