Default battery meter install

bought a meter from carts unlimited. I put it on cart the other day. works great, thanks Scotty. My question, I was going to hook it up to ignition, but when I was checking for voltage it shows almost two volts less at post on switch than it does at batts. Does this mean the switch is bad? The cart is an 06 DS

Does it show 2V low on the hot side of the switch? There is some resistance on the open side of the switch when the switch is in the on position but on mine it's only like .1-.2V

It could be that you have bad contact somewhere. I've seen that when my meter or one of the wires wasn't making a good clean contact.
