Ezgo 48 volt charger
I took a Ezgo Delta Q charger and put a SB-50 connector on it to charge little RED until I can find a good deal on a quality auto charger.
Took the factory plug harness off of it. Its only spade connectors inside the unit. Take and join the green & black wires together @ the SB-50 connector and then put all 3 ends back on the charger end. The charger is marked which wire goes where on the inside so it's a no brainer. Works great now I can plug it up and walk away from it without worrying about the batteries. This is a temporarily fix for it for now. But it works fine. |

Re: Ezgo 48 volt charger
Nope, usually cant do that. That charger expects to see input from a temp sensor. You can spoof it with a 10k resistor from the white wire to the green wire.
Never heard of a QE allowing what you seem to be getting away with. |

My yellow Delta Q charger works just fine to for the beach cart and it's hooked up without the green wire hooked up at all. This charger is 4 years old and works great. |

Re: Ezgo 48 volt charger
I know, I saw that. Never saw any QE allow for this.

Re: Ezgo 48 volt charger
I don't know but I just did this today. I will check it out for a few days and see how it does. This is a Ezgo Power wise charger. I thought it was a Delta Q charger.

Re: Ezgo 48 volt charger
Thanks, but I'm wanting a yellow Delta Q 48 volt charger. I have had several of them and they work great. I just wait until I find a good deal on one.

Re: Ezgo 48 volt charger
Drove little Red for about 1 hr all over the beach front road. 50.6 volts when I started and got home it was down to 48.9. Let it sit for about 1 hr before I put the charger on it. Let it cool off a little. Just went out and checked it. Charging at 56 volts. Flashing green light. So far so good.
