Question TXT 6" Lift - 24x9" Tires?

I have a 2012 48V TXT that is stock and I want to lift it and go bigger on the tires. I see some nice looking 24x9-10 tires for Kawasaki Mules that are reasonably priced - will they fit with 6" drop axle lift? I drive it on the street mostly - will I regret the power loss? I'm not racing anybody or anything but I don't want to burn something up. Weight on the one tire I like is 23 lbs which is similar to other 23" tires I've seen used on golf carts.

Thank you!

Turn your wheels all the way left, then lock your brakes down, then with 2 fat people on the cart measure clearance from tire to brake arm, then add the extra inches. That's where the problem usually is and take into consideration all 24s are not always true 24". As far as power lost I don't know I'm not a sparky man, It couldn't be any better for the motor but would be a lot faster.

Welcome to the board.

Unless you do some serious changes to your rear end gear ratio's, you motor and controller are going to suffer big time. Plus as Stovebolt says, tyre rub will almost definitely be an issue. even with offset wheels, the extra diameter and width of the tyre is gonna be causing rubbing on the brake arm and possibly the bodywork. Look at my Avatar, they are 25" and i had to widen the track and move the axle forward to achieve it.

Thanks guys. I may have to look into the gearing or controller options because I couldn’t bring myself to pay more money for 22-23” tires. I ordered some 25x10 radial tires for under 70 bucks a piece. There is a guy on a Facebook page I’m on that is running 26” tires with the 6” lift so hopefully I’ll be ok.

What size tires and lift are on the white cart in your signature? I found several on Facebook running 25-26” on TXT with spindle, drop axle, and LT lifts.

24s barely, guess it depends on the arch of your springs.

Yes I got some different tires than the radial ones I mentioned but they look great and there’s about 1” of clearance from the brake arm. They are 25x10 but they aren’t a lot wider than the rims so they may not be a full 10”. It runs 26 mph now on flat or downhill and the up hill speed for these hills isn’t too bad around 15-17. I’m happy with it. The tires vibrate a bit but it sounds cool going down the road. I’ll see if I can attach pictures from my phone.
