48 volt slows down quickly
2004 48 volt Club Car DS batteries are 1 year old with new cable. After charging have 52 volts across the batteries. Drives at speed for a short distance then slows to a stop, after stopping for a while I can move cart short distance. Checking batteries back home still 52 volts across batteries, Batteries have been load tested and are all in green.

Re: 48 volt slows down quickly
So nobody has an idea what is wrong with this cart, why it won't run right. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: 48 volt slows down quickly
Had an old motor, same one as on my cart, changed out the speed sensor, wound up performing worse. Should the magnets also be changed? The speed sensor is the flat plug type. I might try the one off my wifes cart before I spend 90.00 on a new one.

Re: 48 volt slows down quickly
The magnets should be fine and don't need to be changed. If you have a known good sensor, like the one on your wife's cart, we can obviously use that to diagnose the malfunctioning cart.

Re: 48 volt slows down quickly
Put high speed motor in wife's cart, different motor. Ordering speed sensor from Buggies unlimited. Ebay had them cheaper but are China made. Thank you for your help, let you know how I make out.

Re: 48 volt slows down quickly
Make sure the sensor you get is an OEM one, otherwise it won't last very long. Several site sponsors carry the OEM ones: https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/site-sponsors.php

Re: 48 volt slows down quickly
If you got it from BU, you got a Chinese knock off unit. A lot of times they're bad right out of the box. Get an OEM one from David at RGC: https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com
