The single micro-switch FNR is not designed for Controller carts so You are limited to add additional functionality.

The diode comment on that thread was related to using a Reversing Contactor with a DPDT toggle switch.

You also cannot do the reverse buzzer like the old resistor carts that used that FNR since the Motor does not connect directly to B-.
Thanks Sergio!

My cart still has the stock F/R lever. Do I need to worry about any of that other stuff?

That FNR works great for switching direction.

The only issue is that it cannot be used to reduce speed for reverse or activate a buzzer.

Ok, what do I need to do to make sure I have my reverse buzzer is activated?

What do I need to do in order for my new setup to activate the reverse buzzer when it is put in reverse?

If You have the FNR with the single micro-switch, You will need to figure out a way to mount another micro-switch to either be activated by the lever or modify the FNR body to add an additional lobe that only clicks the additional micro-switch in reverse.

You could also try to figure out a way to mount a magnet and a reed switch that gets activated in reverse.

As I mentioned, the single micro-switch FNR was not designed for carts with Controllers, You will need to buy the modern 3 micro-switch model if You want to activate reverse speed and/or a buzzer.

That's the three micro switch FNR, you are fine, just wire it like your wiring diagram.
