That was it that you quoted. Do that and you are done. It is really that easy. Do not over think it.

2013 Club Car Precedent-Sorry guys, i have read all pages here but still not 100% sure what needs to be done to bypass the obc.

Do I go from the front by removing batteries or from back panel?

Are there step by step instructions anywhere in simple english than tech terms

Don’t want to remove OBC. Just bypass it

What happens to all the wires coming from OBC-red-white, white, blue, brown, yellow and green

Only part I get is that black from receptacle going to OBC needs to be cut and go directly to -ve on 6th battery terminal(or does it need to split and go to control also)

If you are doing this because you want a smart charger, just get a Modz Max48...It works with or without an obc...There is no need to bypass the obc...Just plug it in...

You need to by-pass the OBC if using a smart charger.

Newer working OBCs will not allow charging if it did not initiate the action.

Any age OBC will not allow charging if it is bad.

There is no reason to buy a new charger if the OBC is working.

From ModzMax...

[INNOVATIVE ONBOARD COMPUTER DETECTION] - One of the only golf cart chargers that works with onboard computer (obc) and non-onboard computer Club Car models with six 8v batteries. The Max48 also works with non-onboard computer models with four 12v batteries.

Why would You want to buy a smart charger and use it as a power supply for the OBC (and still charge with the OBC)?

I wouldn't but if you want to use a smart charger without bypassing the obc you have an option...

I got you, sorry for being argumentative but I was trying to avoid the op from thinking that if he is having a charging issue that it would be resolved by just replacing the Powerdrive power supply box.

What about the OBC not allowing some carts to work if it does not think the cart has been charged.

A few people in the complex where I live have them with working obc's and so far so good..Since they are a fairly new kid on the block I guess we will find out soon enough on the reliability...Quite a few people on the forum have purchased them so we shall see..
