Thats strange..... G9 had a red plug for the regulator, new stuff has a blue plug for regulator, yours has both??? Check for which plug actually feeds the green wire at the Starter/Generator.

So, if you briefly hook the green wire to B-, does the battery voltage increase (while running, it should).

Thanks for the reply cgtech, we were out of town for a couple days. Are you saying to hook the green wire at the voltage regulator to the black wire (B-) and check for voltage increase ?

I did the test twice to make sure. There was NO increase in voltage when I jumped the green wire to the black wire. The voltage regulator was unplugged for the test.

Check continuity from black wire at plug to battery negative terminal. (with battery disconnected).

Green wire @ v/r has continuity to green wire @ starter/generator? I think you checked ohms @ small red & green wires into S/G? Positive 12v power is present @ small red wire at S/G?
