Club Car conversion
I own an '06 Club Car Precedent, 48 volt. I am considering adding a lift kit and mud tires (black widow or make a suggestion) in order to use this as a hunting vehicle. During winter months I may need to climb muddy hills as steep as 45 degrees. I have little experience with these matters but wonder if I am going to be happy with the performance after I make these changes. I have been told that I will lose some torque with the larger tires. I'm not really concerned with speed, just reliability. I just installed all new Trojan batteries last year. Suggestions, please?

Re: Club Car conversion
45 degrees is a radical climb. The cart will not make it without some performance improvements. The bigger tires will rob power and guarantee you don't have enough umph to get up those muddy hills.
I suggest a controller and motor combo to achieve what you want. ... let's see what others more familiar with your cart say? |
