Unhappy New motor and controller questions?

Hi All,
I just got finished installing my new D & D (170-010-0002) 36 volt motor and 500 AMP All Trax programmable controller and 400 AMP solenoid on my '93 Yamaha G8, and I'm unimpressed with it? Yes, the wires were upgraded to #2 welding wire. I did not program the controller! Should I program it? Will that make a difference? Very displeased for the money spent! Any help or guidance?
Thanks, bwy

Default Re: New motor and controller questions?

I may have answered my own question? It appears that the G8 had two different throttles (0-1K or 0-5k) and my new controller is for the 0-1k. What to do?
