Default Dual rear axle

Sorry if wrong area.

Has anyone done a 2 rear axle setup or point me in the right direction, I have access to several EZGO gas models and was considering something different.

Thanks for the welcome and the pic. His site has no info.

I was thinking the back axle drive might work by being chain driven with a idler to keep tension.

Many utility cart rear ends use a 7/8 keyed shaft instead of the splined shaft.

It would be very simple to put the same size sprocket on both shafts. With the clutch on the outside of the front sprocket.

Look up the drive systems on the older JD Gators, sounds like what you are thinking of....

Read here:

That axle isn't driven it's just trailing back there.

What would be really cool is have 1 axle be gas driven and the other be electric so you could pick the one you wanted to use

That would be cool but it seems like it would also be heavy as hell with both electric and gas set-ups onboard.

Also forget to put it in tow mode and ruin it when on gas.
