Any one with a dead motor ?

That would sell an end cap/bell/ the alloy bit that holds the bearing ?

With or without the bearing

Contact the motor manufacturer and ask first IF the part exists [for another application] also if they can supply you with one. You will also need to determine if your motor shaft is machined to mount a bearing with a proper shoulder or groove and snap ring for the bearing to register against. Also you will need to measure the depth the bearing sits at in both the end cap and on the shaft once assembled to determine if any shims and how thick they need to stack up to to control end play of the armature. If you get all this taken care of, you will still need to machine the protruding end of the shaft to mount a pulley/chain coupling sprocket or lovejoy hub to drive whatever the load is.

I think I’d just buy a trolling motor and be done

Especially if you’re in salt or brackish water I don’t know how long I’d expect a golf cart motor to hold up between the moisture, humidity, and whatever else gets around it. Boats aren’t exactly dry and a golf cart motor isn’t exactly marine grade.

yes but
cart motors in the 2 to 5 hp range are cheap and eazy to get from hotrodders /up graders

I just can't find the end bell

in my use the motor sits inside where a very small diesel use to be so no damp or wet

could make one or use and mod an other end for a bigger bearing/shaft

but rather then reinvent a stock thing thought to ask first

but in a year and a half no size or get one here popped up

no fun there but expense
they all have new ones with GPS and big bucks
claim a lot more then real world use

I have and do not like several older 24v trollers
they are for very light boats my sailboat is 5000lbs plus stuff
and they do not get it moving very well

You can probably find an axle assembly that would give you the end plus get you a way to connect to the prop shaft.

The truth is that cart motors don't really have a bell cover for the motor output end. In a golf cart application it's the input shaft of the differential that locates that end of the motor. the bearings are on that differential input shaft. As kgsc suggested you might find a differential for whatever cart the motor would be out of and try to adapt it to your needs.

HOPE IS SOME WHERE THERE IS A PART THAT FITS

a/c motor are sized by dia of the outer can/body and shaft and length of the motor can/body

so I need a end bell every cart motor has one end but most have the wrong sized bearing
but can be modified to adapt to a bigger bearing/shaft size

worst case the shaft can be reduced in a lathe but a bigger bearing is easyer and stronger

super worse case find a CAD guy and machine and a big chunk of alloy and start cutting likely also the highest cost
