BVM-700 shunt bad....
BVM was not working the other day. Diagnosis was a blown fuse. Replaced fuse, still no joy. Upon closer inspection, I find this:
This shunt is mounted up under the seat, on the front wall of the battery compartment (body), to plastic. My cart isn't garage kept, but it's under cover as much as I can get it. I do not live near salt water, and I'm not taking it mudding. Obviously something shorted the shunt out and caused the issue. Would be nice if I could just source and replace that circuit card, but haven't been in contact with my distributor or Victon yet, as it's, well, you know, the weekend. Anybody have a similiar issue, and resolution? I don't think I can pot the whole thing... other choice would seem to be to coat the circuit card in liquid electrical tape. |

Apparently you can just purchase the circuit board. EZ Peasy. Now to keep it from frying again... liquid electrical tape? Potting compound? RTV?
