Re: 1984 club car DS is weak.
Okay so another small update, I don't have any pictures but the engine is in, apparently we are waiting on a low profile clutch. Unfortunately I went through rotator cuff surgery in the meantime so I'm pretty useless as far as helping on this and I've been somewhat preoccupied, lol. On a slightly different note I just saw a video from Redbeard's garage where he details a dual fuel version of the motor that I have that can also run on propane. This seems like an awesome idea, so I'm wondering how much would be involved in converting a standard 440 Duramax into a dual fuel? Especially considering I've already taken off a lot of the stock parts to adapt it to golf cart usage.. If it's as simple as just buying a different carb and plumbing some new hoses I am absolutely up for this.

So here it is 2024 and I still don't have my cart back. The latest hang up is apparently there is only one source for a 2psi fuel pump and they are in China and they suck. I'm not getting mad at the shop because I am kinda scared that they will give up and give me back a pile of non-working parts if I yell at them. So, I am still being calm, cool, and collected... |
