Ground problem Star 48V
I have a Star that has a black ground wire (12v side) that gets hot, when the key is turned on. If I measure ground wires on the 48v side, I get 500k ohms resistance. My theory is that the ground on the 48v side is bad and it is overdrawing on the common 12v side.
I don't know jack about star's. is there some common ground point, like there is on a club car? With the 12v side disconnected, the 48v side works fine. The star has nice numbers on each wire, but I have not found a wiring diagram that matches. Everything tests good until the key is turned on, then the 12v ground gets hot. My intuition is to add a couple more grounds. My other intuition is just to wire a the headlights and call it at day. <ugh> i hate wiring problems! |
