Default Cart BB, what about automotive BB?

Ok guys newbie here, when I came across this Big Block thread, I thought you all ment a real Big Block like a Mopar 440. Has anyone put a 440, 454, 390 Big Block in their cart? Since I got 2 440,s laying around the garage and a buddy of mine is buggin to get in with me to build one in my western or other cart, what do you think or have heard of, Hey if they can put a Hyabusa in a Smart car, someone has got to have done a Big Block in a cart, let me know, and yea, to much money, to much time and to much beer has driven me to this idea
Thanks,
REB

LOL! You can do anything.....people here mostly do BB (larger lawn engines) in carts to get some power to get up hills and other trail riding. Too much power is fun but can be harder to trail ride or have problems with cooling and all that. Most of the larger engines like 'busas are for dune riding where they need lots of power but still want to stay light weight. Some do sled motors as they are easier to put in except the big pipes, but are noisy and loud usually. But as you see people put all kinds of engines in carts for reasons and maybe no reasons. There are some crawler/mudder builds here with 4cyl car engines and 4wd, there are some diesel builds. If you attempt please post and certainly someone will be offering advice on problems and admiring your work, we have no shortage of enthusiasm.

LOL!

Good point! Could be a really cool show cart though. I'm waiting for someone to extend the rear of a cart and put some huge/special engine in there that is exposed.

I love it when someone else wants to do a V8 cart, I started out with a sort of Cart turned out to be a full out Drag Car, only true Golf Cart parts on it is the front emblem and the rear fenders/bumper, build pics are here on the Forum.

How about some shots of you trail riding that cart.... And you'd be smiling if they had a competition for the coolest project cart on this site!

Thanks guy, yea I will have to put some serious thought in the build, but hey if someone can offer a kit so that you make a bar stool with a chevy V-8 in it, a golf cart v-8 small block or big block has to be doable, only hold back is money. LOVE the drag cart, humm a 4x4 golf cart, hey I got a ramcharger powertrain doing nothing, time to break out the welder and tools, stay tuned

This one has a 350 in the back and runs up to a reverse rotation transfer case and he's running Toyota axles I think
