Re: 1992 ezgo marathon no spark
Not that it should make a difference but just curious if you have the 3pg 2cycle or the newer 4cycle?
If it's the 3pg 2cycle I think it should be the same wiring as my 85 2pg, I would check all the ignition wiring for continuity and good connections, especially the grounds..... Then using a test light grounded to the battery first poke into the orange wire then green wire coming out of the coil while turning it over, I think it's the orange that should be pulsing and the green steady. If good and still no spark I'd have to blame the coil or coil wire........ May I ask why you chose to replace the pulsar and igniter? |

Re: 1992 ezgo marathon no spark
This is the 4 cycle dual cylinder Robin EH29C 295CC engine.
There was an indication that the pulser coil was supposed to send out .5 acv? well it was less so i switched it. Had an extra ignitor so swapped it and... still no spark. |

The pulser should ohm from 19 to 21 ohms. Did you check it before you changed it out ?

If all is working correct then when you connect both red and white wire back to coil your meter will read this White wire connected to minus post on coil should read around 12 volt when spinning over. Red wire connected to plus post should read around 9 volts when spinning engine over. I would be checking the plastic connector where your pulser plugs in coming from under fan. Wiggle it. Also make sure the black wire from ignitor is grounded good. Red wire going to ignitor has power and the orange wire with white stripe is connected good to small terminal on solenoid. |

Re: 1992 ezgo marathon no spark
Hey thanks for the response, i'm going to try to work on this tonight and see if I can find something. A buddy of mine mentioned the timing belt could be off, so i'm looking at that too to see if it's loose or broken on the wheel.
