Default RXV curtis controller plug

Having a problem with 2014 RXV with controller plug. Cart stopped and after extensive trouble shooting I noticed that if I jiggled controller plug the problem went away. I removed plug and cleaned it with CRC contact cleaner. Took small pin and made sure nothing was stuck in any of the holes. As last resort I put a small plastic wedge on the side of the plug that worked for awhile. At my wits end now

Can you just eliminate plug and splice wires directly to each other.
Terminals in plugs do go bad from lack of tension, corrosion ect. Replace plug connector or eliminate it completely. If not problem will most likely persist. 😊

Ya want one? I only have a million of them. They came from harnesses that had corrosion elsewhere in the harness. Shipping fees may apply. Send me a pm.

Unfortunately in this case the other side of the plug are the pins inside the controller receptacle.
However I was able to identify the plug. It is an ampseal 35 pin plug from TE connectivity
Found excellent video of how to unlock plug and check pins. So far all pins in the plug look good. But I think it was not locked down properly at time of installation.

Thanks for the offer. Fixed the problem. It turns out the plug was not locked properly. When looking at it everything looked fine. But after unlocking it and checking several pins I realized that the pins were not locked in place. When you lock it you should hear a click. this one really beat my ***!!!

You should pull the red clip forward and twist and turn out the wires and bag em up and sell them on eBay. TE plugs are super duper expensive to buy from Mouser and Digikey. Buy a roll of pins from Mouser or Digikey and sell the pins with them. :)

Don't even ask what these kits from SME cost!
