Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
Yes the idea since you have plenty of torque is to get to high gear quickly and at the lowest engine rpm to get the top speed out of the diesel.

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
Ok that's what I figured. I'll check the secondary clutch out this weekend and get it set to b1. When does the clutch in b1 usually shift?

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
I have the stiffer umaxx spring and under a load I would guess in the 3300 rpm range. So with the weaker stock spring as I suggested for you less than that. And if you have a old stock spring lower yet.

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
Ok so I won't worry about upgrading that spring then. I'll leave it stock so I have a better shot shifting lol

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
BUT Be sure you replace the E clip on the input shaft with the spacer if it isn't done already.

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
Where do you get just the spacer? Still need the entire kit?

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
Get the genuine yamaha part # J55-46322-09. Search the web for one. It is about $35 or so.

Re: Diesel swap with clutch upgrades?
That is it. It replaces the flimsy clip on the input shaft. These parts keep the secondary clutch from impacting the transaxle case and doing a lot of damage.
