Default 98 Club Car DS MCOR Conversion questions

I’m doing a body off rebuild of my 98 Club Car DS 48V series cart. I did an MCOR conversion to clear out the battery compartment. I adjust the pedal height as instructed at 5-7/8” from the firewall.

My question is, how much pedal travel should I have until the microswitch clicks? Currently I don’t hear it engage until the pedal hits 3-1/2” so that’s almost 1/2 the pedal travel. I’m concerned I won’t get full range of the throttle.

Anyone have experience with the conversion on an older DS like mine?
