Any good mods for 85 marathon
I realy wanna get mor outa my cart preferably speed!!! I heard and read up on the driven clutch but the cost is not within my budget. The govoner is a risk and dont feel like rebuildin the motor AGAIN!! So if someone could hit me wit anythin u got like carburation mods, lettin more air in some how ec. Idk Let me no. Thanks a lot!! It would be a lot cooler if it went faster!

I have a 1988 244cc robin Top speed 25.6 mph down a long hill. Generally it runnes about 20-22 mph. Stock motor and tires.Governor removed.

If your smart and don't push it. Over-revving the engine will certainly cause damage and accelerate wear of the top end if ran above governed speeds for too long. The governor was not even on my cart when I got it, and after a top-end rebuild I put a small wire on the throttle butterfly slightly above "that sound of destruction" and don't hold it at that level for more than a few seconds as a safegaurd.
A new belt will ensure you are getting to the highest possible "gear." Changing out the old differential fluid for fresh fluid seemed to help me a bit. There is a tutorial for that in the EZGO Gas Tech section. |
