Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
I am installing 2” rear wheel spacers and figured another pic wouldn’t hurt to give you another angle of the links. Please post your results when you get the sway bar on your buggy.

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
I check back every so often to see if anyone else has tried it. I love it and well worth the few hours of fab work. Very often my cart has more people on it than it should have and I can keep it stable. Before it was dangerous to drive with a full load.

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
Any fixes? Wouldn't new front shocks help?

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
Wanted to thank kidmg217 for the idea. Just got done installing on a Yamaha G22. Too cold to ride, so the jury is out on it’s effectiveness. It turned out great though. Swaybar is perfectly level, and the links are perfectly 90 degrees both ways.

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
Glad to help. Yours came out great. I like your fix for the way you mounted your lower mounts since our carts are slightly different. I see now they sell a bolt on sway bar kit for these carts that mount in front of the axle. Seem easier to mount but if you have the ability to build a set up I think our set up would work out better. Please post when you get time to drive it.
As for the previous post to adding better front shocks. The cart has most of its weight in the rear. So it doesn’t seem like changing front shocks or spring would help at all. |

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
my G1 could use a front sway bar. I saw where someone installed one from a Honda TRX450 but the darn thing was like $400.

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
do you think there is a difference between mounting a sway bar in front of axle as the kit is or behind as your own fabrication

Re: Yamaha Drive sway bar install
This is great. I was literally browsing ebay looking at ATV swaybars for this same idea!
