Forward Reverse Switch - Lighted
I have a 2016 Precedent. I plan to move the FNR switch to the frond dash and put a cover over the existing hole. However, I was curious if it would be possible to wire in a lighted rocker switch.
I found a site rockerswitchpros.com that will custom laser engrave the rocker and have replacement switch bodies I just don't understand the wiring enough to know if any of them would work. Has anyone done this? I'm sure it's a waste of time, but thought it would be nice to have all the rocker switches match. Thanks. |

Re: Forward Reverse Switch - Lighted
I'm thinking this one would work since it is also a Single Pole Double Throw switch with dependent lights.

Re: Forward Reverse Switch - Lighted
You would have to find out if any of them will work on 48v. The light bulb is where the problem will be.
If not, then it could be done, but you would need to use 12v to supply the switch, and actuate a pair of 12v relays that would control 48v to the controller for the F/R inputs. |

Ah, i didn't even consider the 48 volt issue. And all that other stuff you said...straight over my head. lol I'll have to look into all that. Very much appreciate the reply.

Re: Forward Reverse Switch - Lighted
I put a red and green light on my dash(48vt, 1/2" knock out) wired to f/r switch. Works great.

I really just want to move the switch to the dash, but in doing so would have liked it to match the other lighted rocker switches I plan to get. |

Re: Forward Reverse Switch - Lighted
Got a red light for reverse and a green light for forward. 48vt. 3/4" not 1/2" Tier 1 Automation # 3plbr4l-048 and 3plbr3l-048 $ 6.99ea about 6-7 years ago. I just picked up voltage off of the f/r switch. I'll try to get a picture after this hurricane .

Re: Forward Reverse Switch - Lighted
i'm the opposite. i moved my head/tail light switch and horn button next to the f/r switch.
i was thinking about modifying the f/r switch to an 8 ball rat fink floor shift |
