Default Intermittent Power During Takeoff. Solenoid?

Hi All,

1993 DS here. Started having issues recently accelerating. Most of the time, will not accelerate/reverse at all from a stopped position. I read that it could be the directional switch (forward/reverse), so I replaced that today (but I did not replace the 3 microswitches. I'm assuming those are ok, as they still click and it buzzes in reverse. No broken or bent wires into the 3 microswitches). Same issue. No change. I do hear the solenoid clicking, but could that still be failed since the cart intermittently works? Should I replace that for $20?

I am not the original owner, so I doubt the solenoid has ever been changed. Batteries seem fine, plenty of charge.

Anything else I should be looking for?

Does Forward work fine?
If reverse is the only issue then the solenoid is not the problem.
And No I would not replace the solenoid with a $20 junk chinese one, certainly not just on a hunch.

Well, I replaced the solenoid today and now forward is completely fine. Drove a mile or so with 0 issues. However, there is NO reverse! UGH. What could be the issue now since I've already changed out the forward/reverse switch? I'm almost certain I rewired the solenoid correctly as well as the forward reverse switch. Microswitches seem fine and buzzer works also.
